GLOBAL: University freedom reports worldwide

Hundreds of students from Kyrgyzstan, ethnic Uzbek, who is studying in Rhea in Russia, had been harassed by the authorities. Russia: Kyrgyzstan Uzbek students face problems

Hundreds of southern Kyrgyzstan, ethnic Uzbek students, studying in Rhea in Russia, authorities are facing problems, the Radio Free Europe-Radio Liberty on May 12.

The ethnic Uzbek students - 250 boys and 17 girls - in the southern Kyrgyz regions of Osh and Urgent came last September in Rhea to study an agricultural college. Since the start of the academic year they had problems with the authorities.

First, they have been accused by the Mayor of Rhea, the illegal stay of Russian soil. They have also targeted police and tax inspectors in particular fire.
