Later, he interrupted a meeting with the students to discuss the UK's commitment to the AUB campus, where he apologized for the offense caused, but also defended his actions before the workers.

Malaysian media reports Ali, an independent group of academic-turned-politician who has attacked the state of repression in the country, the culture of fear they would be wise to avoid its current state was analyzed.
Side Husain Ali, deputy president of the People's Justice Party and former chairman of the Malaysian Social Science Association, delivered a rebuke to the 7th Malaysian Studies Conference at the end of University Saints Malaysia, Penang on 18 March.
His remarks were prompted by a particular speaker in the Congress who is the subject away from her for fear of offending the government in any way. ZIMBABWE: Faculty of Law, Justice Minister chastises
Zimbabwe Mail reports that Justice Minister Patrick Cinemas law faculty at the University of Zimbabwe has criticized too much politics and his officials refused entry to become engaged in their talks.
Cinemas reportedly claimed faculty 'half-baked' attorneys were damaging the country's reputation for turning out in the law. However, the Mail claimed his comments, to expand the higher education system, despite the severe lack of resources to draw attention away from higher education in Zimbabwe, ZANU-PF led by mishandling of the economy and the desire to see the conditions they are designed to be crippling.
Mail also condemned the government's interference in the appointment of President Robert Mugabe as the only Chancellor of all universities in the country, and under-qualified 'party cronies' as established by the Pro-Vice-Chancellors and Executive Deans.

FRANCE: French teacher faces libel proceedings
Times Higher Education reports that Professor Joseph Wailer, the European Union, Jean Monnet Professor of Law at the New York University School of Law, which is a negative for the libel charges in a French court to pull a book from a website connected with the magazine after he refused to change.
The book's author, Karin Calvo-Goller academic Business Centre in Israel, review, published in 2007, his reputation and academic promotion may prevent further damage claims. Wailer refused to review it, but he did not pass the Calvo-Goller Reviewer comments and offered him the chance to send a response. In 2008 he received a court summons.
The case is due in June before the Paris court. Wailer is urging readers of the magazine in an effort to present critical reviews of books that are commonplace in this chapter.
