Iran: I am in my activism, with no legal recourse

Student union is a member of the Islamic Association of Students of Amirkabir University, I have previously. Security forces arrested me when I was released on bail later in 2007; the same year took a post-graduate entrance examination. I should add that after my freedom, I continued my student activism.

In 2008, the entrance exam results were posted on the Internet and I got the highest score in the sixth that country. In the summer of 2008, officials of the Central Selection Committee contacted me. I was told to go to Hera sat Office.

Abdolrasoul Pour-Abbes, the Sanest Organization, academic measurement Bureau of the Ministry of Science, and a professor of mathematics at Amirkabir University, told me that it was not a big issue with me and want to talk to representatives of the Office of Hera sat. I accept and understand them.

Questionnaires

The first two meetings, the two men made a deal with me in a threatening manner and unfriendly. My student publications approved false statements about me and they want to send a letter to the Judiciary to arrest wanted me to deny that I was tortured.

The second meeting, despite threatening to arrest me. I confirmed that I was tortured and refused to deny.

Third meeting, they changed their style. They had very extensive information about me and it was enjoyable. I left him in political activism and my arrest and torture if you stopped talking about, I should be able to continue my education, they said.

I will also cooperate with the Ministry of Intelligence and once a week, to meet the agents ... I agreed, would be to get my graduate degree; I guarantee they told me no problems. I accepted the end of my political activities, but refused to cooperate with them.

Ministry of Science officials and members of parliament I contacted these meetings, these allegations. Noorbakhsh promised there would be no problems. However, the Ministry of Science at the University [graduate studies] announced the names of students who did not qualify for registration permits.

I immediately started to monitor this development. I went to Sanest Noorbakhsh met again. He expressed regret my declassification, according to hospital and was told that the regulation is based on an article: “The applicant is qualified to be the one who is the enemy of the state" That's all he said to me a few months and he stopped and asked him not to make any noise. He promised to resolve the issue.

I was told that the intelligence ministry's decision to disqualify me, regardless of my academic record was. Interestingly enough, Noorbakhsh explicitly told me: "When the ministry of intelligence is involved, there is nothing I can do."

No legal recourse

In my case, I publicized in the media and members of the Board of Education for the right to collect [an advocacy group made up of students of higher education regardless of] internal Made Gilroy and Zia Abaci to ... A few months before my declassification, the 'star' education barred [political activism] complaint with the Court of students, but received a reply that the court can not assign their case was based on the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, because Khomeini Ayatollah orders and decisions are above the law, and it cannot be evaluated by the Supreme Court.

One, I pushed very hard [for legal recourse] by members of parliament, through the Office of the Representative of the Supreme Leader, Sanest Organization by the authorities, etc., but I did not accomplish anything.

Also, for the education of the Iranian parliament, Dr Ali Abbaspour I had my university professors and so I knew it was already the head of the committee. And I met some judicial officials.

The parliament's education committee, and through the support of Abbaspour, a file 'star' was opened for students. What was interesting was the refusal of the Ministry of Intelligence in the meetings, so that the file will never get anywhere.

Basically, there are no legal avenues for objection. When the country's highest judicial authority, the High Court, shrugs off responsibility, there is no place else to go.

The problem is that the organization is not responsible for Sanest either accept the decision, saying that the call of the Ministry of Intelligence, and the objectors to win the agreement of the ministry's satisfaction. But there is a definite way to contact the ministry to submit an objection.

Generally, after a while, the response was something like this - the sorrow and sadness of my students was a sort of high-ranking 'starred' they noted. First of all, they promised to monitor. After a while they said: "We have tried, the issue is a matter for the Ministry of Intelligence, the Intelligence Ministry stressed in your case  ..."

A note written on my exclusion from education, I try very hard to achieve, but the authorities never any such documentation ... the end of a friendly recommendation to get out of town, they have to submit to pursue higher education abroad.
