UK: We feel duped TASMAC said Indian students

I had been working in Dubai for the last few years [says Jag deep Singh Sandal] and Master would give me the opportunity to say that my company better. TASMAC (Training and Advanced Studies in Management and Communications) in Pane, India, the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, UK, and I'm going to look at which was diverted.

TASMAC is a very aggressive marketing. Indians mortgaged their homes to study in Britain. We are left with nowhere to go close to the College.

TASMAC to stay longer than it needs to be a way.

For example, my English was not good enough and to take the EAP (Ingles academic purposes), which has been their course, and I say that they will not be recognized elsewhere. There were 43 students in two classes in 2010 as EAP. But only three of 43 passes. If you fail the exam fee of £ 75 you will have the opportunity to return and retake the value of £ 200. Students pass the second round of 12 only.

After that a 'qualifying for the Masters program' I had to do, even though he had already been accepted to the MBA in 12 months, they told me. Masters qualifying program lasted three months and three moths so EAP TAMAC had been already lasted six months and had not even started, I do not need to be applied to the MBA.

In my opinion, this was just their money, the path to us.

So, six months ago, angry Peasant Due, TASMAC head, I had a meeting, and I did not want to follow him, and I felt that acceptance of a (public) I wanted to Middlesex University.

There was already a rumor; it could be closed down TASMAC about three months ago. When I went Due and had a face-to-face meeting, I told him I had heard these rumors. I do not need to spread rumors, and I just have to concentrate on my studies, he said.

TASMAC students not until October 6 at 11.45pm due to changes in the UK Border Agency to cease operations by email [says Sunset Patel].

The following day, October 7th, the campus was closed. We got the same note via e-mail at Wimble on campus and campus Kingsbury [outside London] was published. We were not allowed. The truck loading furniture and other things. They're taking everything away.

On Monday, the MBA students had organized a meeting on 10 October. Holbein College. University of Wales [where TASMAC degrees validated] there were two people. Almost overnight if they did not know how to organize this TASMAC 6 until it was closed in October we had no idea.

When you go to Holbein College [Kaplan Financial is a private company run by education] came on the 10th of October there were seats on the brochures lying around Holbein MBA courses. Zen 'TASMAC Closure Student rescue plan' is the title of MBA students.

It was £ 800 (US $ 1,260) per semester will be. But we had already paid thousands of pounds! This money, £ 800, which was supposedly a discount rate of 70% in Holbein. But we do not see why they have to pay again when we already paid for.

Although there were representatives from the University of Wales, did not say anything and we only ask every question they said 'do not know'. We did not receive any help from the University of Wales.

Some students have been offered places in India [Where TASMAC Pane and Bangalore campuses] back, but without the return of the money we pay in England, London is much cheaper than even in India.

This is not, moreover, Nigeria, Ghana, Cambodia, an opportunity for students from countries such as Macedonia and Ukraine - are not affected by the closure of TASMAC many nationalities.

People do not know what to do or where to go. We're all so much stress. Some of them even though their income through TASMAC paid in advance, and now they had to empty property. TASMAC took the money but did not pass it to landlords. These students will be homeless. What will they do?

Indian student contacted the Indian High Commission in London for some of us that first day [October 7]. Some students in India, even threatening hunger will strike outside the High Commission. We went there to try to calm the situation for students TASMAC the UKBA to ask. Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs was also informed.

But he TASMAC press India to hold sessions in which the director of the University of Wales and TASMAC were stranded students get admission in different colleges, so that their studies are not interrupted to say that trying to help.

But, they do not want to charge them extra fees of these institutes tell anyone. Holbein UKBA do not 'have a very reliable status. They need to get turned on in 2012. What happened down there? If they shut down to who is going to take responsibility?

TASMAC not accept credits to public institutions. A [public] university only begins in February, but to us, they ask us to accept £ 800 for each subject. Still I was able to complete the five-plus of my thesis.

But what about those who just started her alone? It will be a lot of money for them. Many of us choose a private school for international students because it is cheaper than the publicly-funded universities. MBAs in particular are very, very expensive for international students.

We feel cheated by TASMAC.

But we do not know what our future; we can transfer the credits to other universities and private colleges to charge us again. UKBA has a 60-day stay with us we are not only the course. Then we have to leave, so there is additional stress.

London We would like to continue in our prime. The cost is great, but the post-study work rights, many of us have to [stop it before it was discontinued in July 2011], we will be able to work here, and to recover some of the money before returning home. Very difficult to rent their home to come here in their own country and some of that money to pay for TASMAC students.

* Sandal Jag deep Singh and Patel were Sunset TASMAC year MBA course in London. University World News Asia editor of Yolanda Sharma were talking.

* Sunset Patel is a nickname. He did not want to use the name of the student, but the University World News met with him, he knows that his name was known and TASMAC student.
