Israel prevented US scholar Noam Chomsky from entering the West Bank last week.
Professor Chomsky, known for his work in linguistics and philosophy, he was
planning to give a lecture at Bizet University, BBC News reports. Chomsky said
the Israeli government has long denied entry because of his opposition to the
controversial writings and speeches.
His visit to the Palestinian host, Mustafa al-Barghouti, lambasted officials, their decision was a blatant restriction on freedom of expression grounds.
Informs the Ministry of the Interior to contact the military to clear things up and he tries to secure its passage. Chomsky has often spoken against the occupation of Palestine by Israel.
