ISRAEL: Academic banned in West Bank

Immigration Israel prevented US scholar Noam Chomsky from entering the West Bank last week. Professor Chomsky, known for his work in linguistics and philosophy, he was planning to give a lecture at Bizet University, BBC News reports. Chomsky said the Israeli government has long denied entry because of his opposition to the controversial writings and speeches.
